At Dessin Academy, our Intermediate Course – Level 1 is designed to help young artists expand their understanding of colour theory and object drawing. Building upon the foundations of the Fundamental Course, this level introduces children to Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary colours, along with creative studies of fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

This course is ideal for children who have mastered the basics and are ready to explore detailed drawing, colour application, and artistic composition — all guided by our experienced instructors.

Objectives Of The Course:

Our syllabus focuses on developing observation, creativity, and precision through real-life subjects and colour studies.

Primary Colours – Understanding base colours and their importance.

Secondary Colours – Mixing and creating new hues.

Tertiary Colours – Exploring complex colour combinations.

Mixing Colours – Practical exercises in blending and harmony.

2. Oil Pastel Techniques – Layering, blending, and adding textures for realistic finishes.

3. Fruits Study – Drawing and colouring various fruits with shading and light effects.

4. Vegetables Study – Learning to depict textures and shapes through observation.

5. Flowers Study – Understanding petal forms, symmetry, and natural colour tones.

6. Fruit Basket Composition – Combining multiple fruits into a balanced artwork.

7. Vegetable Basket Composition – Learning arrangement and perspective in composition.

8. Flower Bouquet – Creating beautiful floral compositions with depth and detail.
